Even the giant business corporation such as Intel Corporation is also affected with the economic slowdown. The company announced it will shut its facilities in Penang, Malaysia and in Cavite, Philippines. With this decision, 5000 to 6000 employees will be affected.

My sister seems to have a thing about cute babies these days. Couple of days ago, I received an email from her, it’s a video of a cute baby trying to find the most comfortable place where he can rest his head to sleep.

Merkel is the first female Chancellor of Germany. She is considered by Forbes Magazine to be the “most powerful woman in the world at the present time”..

I am not really good at planning, the usual thing that happens when I plan things ahead of time is that they don’t happen as planned. That’s why I stop planning long time ago. LOL

It always feels good to love and be loved in return.

Being in a relationship needs a lot of effort between the two party. A relationship will not work out if only one party will do all the decision and planning.

I can’t really say much of how wonderful it is to be in a relationship because I have never been into a relationship before. But for those people who are happily in love, I am sure you know what I am talking about.

Anyways, this post is for all couples out there who wants to know if they are in a healthy relationship or not.

What Makes a Healthy Relationship?

Hopefully, you and your significant other are treating each other well. Not sure if that’s the case? Take a step back from the dizzying sensation of being swept off your feet and think about whether your relationship has these qualities:

• Mutual respect. Does he or she get how cool you are and why? (Watch out if the answer to the first part is yes but only because you’re acting like someone you’re not!) The key is that your BF or GF is into you for who you are — for your great sense of humor, your love of reality TV, etc. Does your partner listen when you say you’re not comfortable doing something and then back off right away? Respect in a relationship means that each person values who the other is and understands — and would never challenge — the other person’s boundaries.
• Trust. You’re talking with a guy from French class and your boyfriend walks by. Does he completely lose his cool or keep walking because he knows you’d never cheat on him? It’s OK to get a little jealous sometimes — jealousy is a natural emotion. But how a person reacts when feeling jealous is what matters. There’s no way you can have a healthy relationship if you don’t trust each other.
• Honesty. This one goes hand-in-hand with trust because it’s tough to trust someone when one of you isn’t being honest. Have you ever caught your girlfriend in a major lie? Like she told you that she had to work on Friday night but it turned out she was at the movies with her friends? The next time she says she has to work, you’ll have a lot more trouble believing her and the trust will be on shaky ground.
• Support. It’s not just in bad times that your partner should support you. Some people are great when your whole world is falling apart but can’t take being there when things are going right (and vice versa). In a healthy relationship, your significant other is there with a shoulder to cry on when you find out your parents are getting divorced and to celebrate with you when you get the lead in a play.

Happy new year to everyone! Hope that everyone had a wonderful time during the holiday season.

My holiday season was fun, it was more fun as compared last year. My sister and her husband went home to celebrate Christmas and New Year with us. It is always a good feeling to celebrate important occasions with your family together in one roof.

We spent our Christmas day at Mergrance Ocean Resort. For 2008, it was my third time to visit the place. The place was so crowded as well as the pool. I enjoyed watching my nephew strut his stuff on the pool.

I went home earlier because I promised my best friend to accompany her in watching “Ang Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat”. The movie was great and I laughed my heart out. I also grant the wish of my best friend to allow her to visit our house. After 2 years of begging, I finally granted her wish.

Then New Year came. We celebrated the occasion like we celebrated it before, simple yet cozy.

I know that each of us has our own new year’s resolution. Whatever it is that we want to change, take it one step at a time because change does not happen overnight.

As new year comes we are also blessed with new beginnings.
